WINEMAKER'S NOTES
This wine is crafted through manual harvesting, fermentation with indigenous yeast without temperature control, and a 7-day skin maceration. It is matured on fine lees in 80-year-old oak barrels for 10 months with no added sulfur. Facing east, the Steinert vineyard, known for its steep slopes and calcareous soil, provides a unique terroir that enhances the wine’s character.

Jean-Pierre Frick, a leading figure in Alsace's biodynamic wine scene, and his family manage a 12-hectare estate renowned for its minimal intervention wines, including distinguished Rieslings and Pinot Gris.
