WINEMAKER'S NOTES

Pétillant Naturel from Albert de Conti is a vibrant and effervescent sparkling wine from southern France. Crafted from handpicked Sauvignon Blanc and Semillon grapes, the juice is gently pressed and partially fermented using indigenous yeasts in stainless steel vats. Bottled with a touch of residual sugar, it undergoes a natural second fermentation, creating a light and bubbly character. The wine is minimally processed, being unfined, lightly filtered, and free from added sulfites.

STORY

Albert de Conti, located in Bergerac, France, is a family-run vineyard with roots dating back to 1963 when Primo de Conti, whose parents emigrated from Italy in the 1920s, began cultivating the land. Today, the 30-hectare estate is managed by his grandsons, Guillaume and Paul, who continue the tradition with a focus on organic farming and innovative biodynamic and agroforestry methods to maintain and enhance the vineyard’s natural balance. The oldest vines, planted in 1966, include a diverse mix of native grape varieties, contributing to the unique character of their wines.
