WINEMAKER'S NOTES

The grapes for Note di Bianco 2023 come from Santa Ninfa and Pietrarenosa, located down the valley at an elevation of 250 meters on clayey soils. The Grillo variety, known for its resilience and adaptability to drought, is used for this wine. The vines are 15 years old. The grapes were directly pressed, then fermented and aged in stainless steel. This meticulous winemaking process highlights the vineyard's quality and the winemaker's skill.

STORY

Alessandro Viola represents the essence of Sicilian winemaking in the serene landscapes of Alcamo, situated between Trapani and Palermo. Embracing organic viticulture, Viola meticulously tends to his 5-hectare vineyard on Mount Bonifato, deeply rooted in limestone and sandy soils. Specializing in native varieties, particularly Catarratto, his wines are a tribute to the rich Sicilian terroir. Viola's approach combines traditional methods with a touch of modern expertise, resulting in wines that are authentically Mediterranean – aromatic, fresh, and vibrant. With every bottle, Alessandro Viola captures the unique spirit and complexity of Sicily.
