WINEMAKER'S NOTES

The Pai by Bodegas Albamar is a blend of Albariño grapes from various parcels, all grown on well-draining, sandy soils typical of Rías Baixas. Utilizing wild yeast and extended lees aging, the wine gains additional depth and texture. The production process emphasizes natural methods and the use of indigenous yeasts, enhancing the authentic expression of the varietal and the region. This approach, led by winemaker Xurxo Alba, ensures that each bottle of Albamar reflects the essence of its unique terroir.

STORY

Bodegas Albamar, situated in Cambados, Pontevedra, practices organic viticulture on 8 hectares of Atlantic-influenced terroir. Founded by Xurxo Alba Padín, who began bottling the family's Albariño wines in 2006, the winery uses natural yeasts to enhance the complexity of their wines. Xurxo’s innovative approach and dedication have made Albamar a standout in the Rías Baixas region.
