WINEMAKER'S NOTES

This cuvée, a product of Verzy's diverse terroirs, undergoes both alcoholic and malolactic fermentations using indigenous yeasts, with an extended barrel aging period on lees to enhance complexity. Unfiltered and minimally sulfured, it epitomizes the domain's commitment to expressing the intrinsic purity and elegance of their terroir, showcased in its bright gold color, refined bubbles, and a nuanced finish that appeals to connoisseurs and enthusiasts alike.

STORY

Mouzon-Leroux, a distinguished family winery established in 1776, is situated in the grand cru village of Verzy within the Montagne de Reims. Their 8-hectare estate is biodynamically cultivated, a practice certified by Demeter since 2008, underscoring their commitment to sustainable viticulture. The vineyard's unique terroir, characterized by calcareous clay and loam soils, alongside their innovative approach to viticulture and winemaking, imbues their champagnes with a distinct purity and finesse.
