WINEMAKER'S NOTES

PiGa 2020 represents a harmonious 50/50 blend of Pinot Noir and Gamay, farmed biodynamically. The wine undergoes a unique semi-carbonic maceration for 20 days in open wooden vats, with careful temperature control, enhancing its complexity. This natural wine, embodying the distinctiveness of Jura, is bottled unfiltered, unfined, and without added sulfur dioxide, showcasing a balance of elegance and power.

STORY

Zéroine is the brainchild of three people: Maylis Bernard, Jean-François Ganevat and Anne Ganevat (Jean-François' sister). Embracing a philosophy of minimal intervention, she produces unique wines that combine red and white varieties, reflecting the rich terroir of Jura. Her limited-production wines, including distinctive blends like "Gaga" (100% Gamay), “PiGa” (Pinot Noir x Gamay) and "Gacha" (Gamay x Chardonnay), are highly sought after, often selling out rapidly due to their compelling character and innovative approach. Zeroine stands as a testament to Maylis' dedication to maintaining the purity and authenticity of Jura's winemaking traditions.
